The Evening Purse

I’ve been thinking of crocheting a bag for a while, since I saw a bag pattern on the free crochet patterns site. I wanted to make a small bag to hold essentials (purse, keys, phone, etc) that wouldn’t be too bulky for an evening outing.

 
A red crochet Evening Purse with flowers on the flap. Well, the flap of the bag was an interesting challenge ;)...


 
I used a small piece of gorgeous black satin for the lining. The strap I made is small with rows of single and double crochet stitches, crocheted tightly for strength.

I’m really pleased with how well it turned out and yes, I made another similar one with slight changes...

Colourful flowers...my favourite! This long strappy bag is hands-free, ideal for kids and great for everyday use.

I had an old  broken  lampshade sitting around  unused  in my house for many years. Y don’t I give a new look to my ugly old lampshade??? Well… there's  nothing better than adding an art of crochet to it! It mostly involved  crocheting  the whole lampshade cover and  gluing  it above the old shade. Added a few tiny granny squares below for classy look. Even the rod is glued  and encircled with long basic crochet chains. Isn't  gorgeous?

Flower headband

This project is very quick to do, it can easily be finished in 10-20 minutes and looks great in a variety of colours. I just love this colour combination. I made this girly crochet headband for a cousin but I have no idea if this would fit right, but luckily this pattern allows for a lot of stretch.
