GIRL'S CARDIGAN/SWEATER

Image
Cooler weather is making its way here. So its time for casual crocheted accessories  that are just perfect during winter. It's so tempting to throw on a big bulky cardigan/sweater and cover up a pretty dress. Yes, a cardigan/sweater is adorable for anyone to wear during the fall or winter months. CARDIGAN/SWEATER FOR GIRLS I designed this wrap over cardigan/sweater with a matching beanie for my four-year-old niece, hoping to create something charming and contemporary, perfect for those cold winter evenings.   A useful design for any little girl's wardrobe :)   I'd love to hear from you, if you'd like to get in touch!

Pineapple Delight Pudding

This one is my absolute favourite. This dessert will be perfect for all of your spring and summer gatherings!! Do try it if you want to make something exotic and which requires very less effort!! Serves 5-6 Ingredients: Tin pineapple (sliced) - 1 Food cream  - 1 or 2 tin Condensed milk - 1 tin Whipping powder - 2 sachets China grass - 17 gm. Cashewnuts - as needed Sugar - 3 tbsp. Cherries (optional) - for decoration Directions   1. Cook the pineapple pieces adding 2 tablespoons of sugar. Cook till the colour changes from the fresh pineapple colour to a bit more faded colour. Keep it aside and let it cool. 2. Melt china grass with some water in another dish. Keep aside and  cool at room temperature prior to refrigerating. 3. Blend cream, whipping powder, condensed milk and a small piece of cooled china grass all together in a blender. Pour the above mixture to a serving dish. Add cooked pineapples, refrigerated china grass and  cashewnuts. Mix them all.

Girls Hat

Image
Hats are adorable for the kids to wear during the fall or winter months. I’ve been wanting to crochet a hat again for awhile, so I played around and ended up making this cute hat for my niece. I’m still working up the sweater matching to this, but I just had to share this girly hat asap! So lovely, and best of all, it's so easy and can be adapted to a range of sizes by changing hook size and yarn weight. The colour of the hat seen in the picture is different from what I made...well, I actually made an onion pink hat...poor picture quality I know ;) And lastly, Flower! a must in most of my crochet items...          I'd love to hear from you, if you'd like to get in touch!

The Evening Purse

Image
I’ve been thinking of crocheting a bag for a while, since I saw a bag pattern on the free crochet patterns site. I wanted to make a small bag to hold essentials (purse, keys, phone, etc) that wouldn’t be too bulky for an evening outing.   A red crochet Evening Purse with flowers on the flap. Well, the flap of the bag was an interesting challenge ;)...   I used a small piece of gorgeous black satin for the lining. The strap I made is small with rows of single and double crochet stitches, crocheted tightly for strength. I’m really pleased with how well it turned out and yes, I made another similar one with slight changes...       Perfect for gift-giving.       Colourful flowers...my favourite! This long strappy bag is hands-free, ideal for kids and great for everyday use.     I'd love to hear from you, if you'd like to get in touch!
